Supported by the “French Institute of South Africa; the first edition of Ubuhle Bendalo, an urban art residency devoted to street art in all its forms, curated by Breeze Yoko” went down!
French Street artists Sitou Matthia and Doudou’ Style where in the buiding on the 23rd of March 2019 for the Women in street art workshop and boy was I all kinds of excitements!
I will be honest and say that I had no idea who these guys where, but when I saw their skill? All roads led to Trackside Creative for this workshop.
DouDou Style handled the workshop. And she is by far the warmest, non pretentious sister with an infectious laugh and an ever present smile. We sitting in a room ko trackside almost holding our breaths. After a short intro by Breeze, DouDou Sitou introduced themselves.
All ladies did the most!!
I guess I was a little bit more determined to learn as much as possible.
Thank you to everyone who was instrumental in making this showcase happen. A special shout out to Mambila wako Trackside for just generally being such a cool guy.. To Breeze Yoko too.. Thank you for the advise and the encouragement. To Sitou? See you next year!!
